Hi, for years i just ignored my screen which i thought is only a bit dirty.. now only i cleaned my screen and the "dirt and stain" wont come off! its actually inside the glass panel that looks being delaminated.

A quick google got this called, staingate.. and Apple fixes affected macbooks as far back as 2012 purchases free of charge. No idea with SG Apple service centers though.. Anyone else encountered this?

Mine is a Macbook Pro 15" Retina mid-2014

Booked genius bar appointment. Sent my macbook last night to apple orchard. Total cost of replacement $884.00 parts and labor and i admit, i think i peed my pants a bit when i saw the repair cost. But unit qualified for quality program.. costs waived. Kudos to Apple!
