hi,

wonder anyone has similar issues - updated yesterday on my MBP (10.8.5 usual firmware updates which was discoverable automatically) and realised the BT trackpad no longer is detectable. Tried switching the BT (on MBP) on and off again but it seems I can't even turn it off. Please advise. Thank you.

1. Try resetting the SMC: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Put magic trackpad into discoverable mode by:

Turn on the Magic Trackpad by pressing the on/off button until the indicator light comes on. The indicator light glows steadily for 2 to 3 seconds to indicate the batteries are good. After that, the light will blink to indicate your trackpad is in discovery mode.

3. Reestablish connection to magic trackpad.
