if u buy a sim card from teleco at bangkok
for example the 299b package
you have 100b free calling time
the charges is about 4b (16 cents) per min on average.

have used before my singtel line to call back singapore .
one minute is 2sgd ...

For convenient sake, you can subscribe to singtel's v019 or starhub's 018 add on which allows cheaper calls to each teleco's listed countries...
