Got how many types of hotel over there? I see the prices can range from few hundreds to thousands siaz.


Anyone been to there during December? Is it rainy season?

I went in mid December. The weather forecast projected 1 day of sunshine, and 3 days of rain. It turned out to be 1 day of sunshine, 2 days of sunshine (with 30 mins of very light rain each day) and 1 day of heavy rain. The mid December rates were relatively cheaper.

If you are flying silkair or Tiger from Singapore, i think most of the flights land at night. One way to save money is to spend that first night in a hotel on hulhumale (which is the island the airport is located on), and then take the first available speed boat or sea plane to your resort the next morning. Otherwise, you end up paying for an extra expensive night at your resort without enjoying any of the perks you paid for.

Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb r the better months to visit Maldives ... less rain, better weather

Mar & Sep is no good bcos of change of season and weather becomes unpredictable

many many resorts there, different price range from mass market to boutique resorts

Hulhumale has a public school that is designed & built with Singapore's help ... if u see it, u will recognise something familiar
