Kampong boi,

Is it true that most water villas don't allow children?

Any suggestion on which water villa to stay that is not so exp? Best is by boat transfer and not seaplane transfer.

I now planning stage only. :)

Not true, there are family size villas that are catered to families, just that these family size villas are lesser in amounts.

Honestly, I have not been to or stayed in many villas, so I cannot suggest a good resort. But since you are looking by boat transfer then your options should be limited to near Hulhu or Male. Can take a look those travelling reviews site like tripadvisor for more info.

Hi,

I have booked a flight departing after Xmas. Is Male really the obvious choice/place to book a hotel? Other islands have nothing?

Male is obviously not the choice to book hotels. If you are in maldives for the beach / clear waters, you have to book on the resort islands.

Usually those private resorts are 1 resort per island.

All food and water on the islands are imported from mainland so the resorts will have monopoly over them and can be quite expensive.

The sea/land transfer from Male airport to the resort usually have to be booked in advance and private /shared transfers cost from USD$100 - USD$1k / pax.
