1 oct is the start of the new cycle, each cycle is 3 months. for esaver, each cycle is 2 months.

Please confirm. Is a good deal for 1% interest for just a week vs bank offer of 1.3% to 1.5% per year!

Yah.. I'm kinda cash rich atm, so parking those exceeded 60k from OCBC to whichever gives the higher interest...

Cash rich isn't necessarily a bad thing but can find ways to make it work instead of stagnant. You are on the right path.

Yes. I've recently been reading on the bogleheads investing, and been trying to put money regularly on the ETF. Thanks to the seniors in this forum who keep introducing those. If only I found about this 10 years ago, I'll have more money. But better late than never.

However, I need some cash to set aside for short term needs (for the next 1-2 years or so), so I'm parking those in the most liquid and safer asset class. Currently parking them in the SSB, higher interest saving accounts (like OCBC 360), and some local banks preference shares.

Yes. But I can't spend enough to get those higher interest. So trying to find those higher interest with less hassle.

i have my credentials in this money section. I find it disgusting to only get $500+ for $50K Fixed-D, entire capital kana lock up 1yr for just $500. $500 can be spent in a blink of an eye. New TV, new chair, or a CNY restaurant makan. Finish.

So if u ask me , i rather u go for higher returns, entailed with some fair bit of risks.

10-20% quite easily do-able. but sorry i cant help u on this :D

Hi Soul77, when you shared you put money regularly on the ETF (which i am total clueless what is it all about), do you gain this knowledge from bogleheads investing site? I am trying to gain more on my investment knowledge :D Thanks in advance.

OCBC 360
UOB One account
Maybank iSavvy
SCB eSaver
CIMB Fast saver.
