MBA 1st gen SSD adapter

Hi. Do anyone know where to get SSD HDD adapter to SATA? 1st gen MBA have a very unique HDD connector

U can try OWC or dx.com and search for it, not really sure about MBA though

I don't think 1st gen MBA can convert to SSD. Form factor is 1.8" and it's a PATA drive... Most SSD form factor 2.5".

Actually, what i want to do is extract data from a broken MBA. Just need the special adapter for the SSD in MBA. Problem is Apple uses a very unique SSD 1.8" with a different adapter in 1st gen MBA. So just need to find that adapter and convert to USB or SATA

It's a standard ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) or ZF connector.



This for the drive replacement video - think you'll see an image of it in there.

As for an external enclosure, OWC sells it too. :)
