Hi everyone, can I checked.
My brother print had been asking me to replace the drum for I think the past one over year.
Initially I tried to drag thinking to save cost, but I realise it is more than a year, and so far the printing is still fine.
Also, I cannot find compatible (non-original) verson of the drum, and the original drum is quite expensive.

For the toner, I did not buy original brother toner, and buy those compatible versions, which works fine.

Nowadays, I seldom do printing.

Can I check, is the message to replace drum not accurate.
Also, anyone knows if there are any place to buy compatible version of MFC-L8690CDW brother printer?

Thank you.

Thumbs up for you...., I also want to know. My Brother LED printer drum has faint lines on it, but I am postponing the drum replacement too as long as possible because Brother's quotation for drum replacement is almost the same price as buying a new printer, and no online information available about where to get OEM compatible drum. :(

No need to replace the drum if it’s still printing fine. I have my MFC9330cdw drum replaced once in 5 years. It’s used daily and the printed paper have dark spots and shadows that’s when it had to be replaced.

U can try clean the drum if u have missing print area. I did it for mine laser printer.. Easy to do.. Just dun scratch the drum. For dirty extra dark spots... U need to clean the comb area as there accumulate extra toner powder.
