which is better....
with reasons of course.
thanks

This is according to my wife's opinion when she asked me to recommend her a new notebook.

Yoga Pro 3

1. Nice form factor.
2. Comes with keyboard like a proper notebook.
3. Light.
4. Dislike that a notebook is not a notebook but tries to be a tablet.
5. You sure the hinge wont break?

Surface Pro 3

1. How to use? Like iPad? (My answer is: Yes, if you are stupid enough to compare it that way)
2. Very Light.
3. Type Keyboard is nice that it can be detached when she is on the move.
4. Kickstand is nice, easy to position the screen angle.
5. Got pen... but what is the use har?

End up... she went to the next aisle and selected a Macbook Air... :vijayadmin::vijayadmin::vijayadmin::vijayadmin:

both are a bit different

depends on your needs and wants

good to highlight your usage scenarios, then can drill down on features of each product

Actually, this question should be in the notebook forum, heh.

Both of these products use hardware that's more akin to notebooks; they just happen to function as a tablet too ;)

Many of these review is very personal. I would take it as a reference and not a decision for purchase.

Problem is a lot of people take it as reference as it goes for other thread and tropic in the forum

One person liking can be another man poison

as an ex-user of SP3 and current user of thinkpad yoga, assuming price is not an issue (hard to compare price as SP3 has wide range of models), I can hardly find many reasons why yoga is better except maybe because of the following shortcomings of SP3:

1. only one 1 usb port
2. small mousepad
3. silly suede material for type cover
4. pen tab falls off after a while
5. silly function keys on keyboard
6. no volume control buttons
7. shape is kinda industrial (angular edges)
8. capacitive windows button (easily activated)

Other than that, i think SP3 is a real winner.

For no reasons, I tend to select the Lenovo yoga pro 3 mostly because I trust laptops or tablets from Lenovo.
