MO refuse to down PES

MO dun decide, it is the medical board that decide. He only write in to medical board. If specialist recommend, MO lan lan must write in.

What I meant by decide was the decision to put up for downgrading, and not the approval of downgrading

Go private might end up being sent back to public for second opinion and since NSC is already public, that's like second opinion liao.

Hi everyone,

I OOC-ed from SCS and went to NSC several times and got Seborrhoeic Dermatitis as diagnosis.

It is incurable and triggers depending on situation.

In my case, long exposure to sunlight and heat will cause burning pain and peeling on my face but the MO said it has to cover 30% of body surface area(it doesn't in my case).

I'm worried that in the long run, this condition will cause permanent effects on my skin.

What should I do since the requirements for down PES isn't met?

actually its not the MO refuse. they have to follow a strict guideline on what conditions give what PES.

since your condition does not warrant a lower PES, then if there are further problems you can always see your MO after enlistment. anyway dermatitis sometimes is not so bad, sometimes is bad. so even saf cannot predict your future condition.

Same opinion that you need a different specialist.
MO are junior Doctors, those in medical Centres.
If the referring specialist is a senior consultant, they sure have to endorse and recommend. Similar to rank base respect.

Find a senior consultant or professor that can recommend for you.

Otherwise suck thumbs.

From your experience, I feel your current specialist is not interested to help you.

MO usually very humji,will confirm recommend downgrade if their "bible"
say,becos if anything happen,they in big trouble,will affect not ony their ns but their career loh

so if u r the MO,why take the risk right?
