Isn't it now a valid current discussion?

There's a valid context for this thread to be relevant for today's forum discussion.

And I received 3 points infraction for this - for being a nuisance, adding to the discussion with new materials/development?

And why is it locked and prevented others from joining the discussion?

Thread - by its own definition is a continued discussion of the same theme/topic.

Why is this thread locked when I updated the thread with new and relevant information? Especially when I have also started this thread; clearly I am not a bumper clone.

While I respect the forum rules; I hope to seek clarification on this.

I closed it and I was the one who also infracted you.
If this isn't trying to desperately seek attention for your thread. I've no idea what is.

I'll leave the admins to decide if you were excessively trying to bump your thread and seeking for attention or simply posting new and relevant information.

Cheers,
Petpet.

Yes, I believe it was unfair.

You dug out 12 December 2014 records to justify your actions on 12 May 2015.

And did you even bother to check the context?

Yes, I may be critical of the current PAP Government because I could see the standards of their service to the nation dropping. I am expressing my views in a fair manner.

I practise responsible self-censorship. I have even deleted my own threads/posts when subsequent facts proved that my earlier comments/opinions to be unfair, misled or wrong.

You are free to malign me for being a 'thread-bumper', a 'nuisance' even. You are the mod/admin and you are certainly entitled to your own opinion.

But why close the thread and prevent others from joining in the discussion and/or expressing their opinions?

And how 'irrelevant' are the discussions in this 'closed' thread?

These are issues that affect the well-being of our nation - in other words, both you and me and our loved ones, for even future generations to come. How is the topic 'old' or 'irrelevant'?

According to the rules, I should give you another infraction for wrong use of the forums.

EDMW is not your army and blowing an issue unnecessarily that makes it difficult for the mods/admins to follow and manage is definitely not condoned.

The moderator has been kind enough to indulge in your queries - too politely.

I've also said my piece here:-

End of discussion.

Whole EDMW thread is here for efficient reading and full contextual deliberation, rather than taking a selective piece-meal approach:
