VA sucks a lot when it comes to grey-to-grey smearing

And by a lot I mean *a lot*, like what you are experiencing.

That's why when I see people who believe VA panels are good for gaming just because of high refresh rate, I  after giving up after failing to convince people that they are getting fooled by marketing numbers.

Smearing is par for the course for VA panels. If it is not noticeable in daily use, I wouldn't worry too much about it. That's the tradeoff for glorious colors and blacks.

My next monitor will be another VA panel. Don't think I can go back to IPS after getting used to the color saturation on my Z35.

I like the contrast of VA but dont like the ghosting, the ghosting can be quite bad on certain games and movies.
Will go back to IPS for my next monitor.

Ya like this LTT video, VA panel can see the separation between his cat and black shirt or the blue cone of the corsair speaker while still inky, compared to my other IPS.

UFO is not as bad because it is a black to bright transition.

VA is the worst when it is dark-to-dark. Check for example this table from a review.

Get a good VA panel like those expensive ass odyssey (the more I look at this word the more weird it becomes) or affordable but medium response time ones like g34wqc and don't play fps lol.

If you play fast paced games that requires accuracy and the color scheme is drabby like for eg CSGO, MW:WZ don't get a VA. Colorful games like Valorant or slow games like DotA2 etc or story mode games, VA is the best monitor you can have.
