Hi guys. My 27 inch qnix monitor just died, can't power on at all. Tried my friend's power brick and still can't solved so I'm looking for a replacement.

Would love to get a 27 inch monitor, any recommendations? Samsung? Dell?
Would I want FreeSync? Current using AMD 280 graphic card.

Thanks in advance!

My friend recommended Prism Plus too but they'll only deliver end April which means I'll be monitor'less for 3 weeks. :(

1440p is full HD?

Budget would be around $500+.

Edit: If I want to take a look at monitors, should I go Sim Lim Square or Gain city?

ya that's the bad part (the waiting game)

FHD = 1080p, QHD = 1440p

500 wise, for 1440p 27" abit hard unless u going back to qnix or crossover.

go sls cybermind, vpro, bestprice or those actual brand store at the main store there.

I don't think I want to go back to Qnix, this 27 inch monitor is 1.5 years old and just suddenly died without any warnings.

Would you recommend me to buy a super cheap $100+ monitor while I wait for Prism Plus?

use the chance to go wasabi mango 4k screen ?
Need to order and ship from overseas right? I'll probably purchase one on Monday.

TV can be temporary monitor via HDMI ... just cut down your usage hours lorrr ..

I did that while waiting 5 days for my qnix .... after primetime TV is over I carry it from living room to computer table ... later too troublesome and I just put it on floor .....

Thanks for all the recommendations and tips. I just did a quick search at display bazaar and found a second hand 23 inch monitor at $50, just Whatsapp'ed the guy, should be able to last until end April.

The 31.5 inch Prism Plus is a good buy right?

Do you play:

a) AAA game more; or
b) FPS game more

If the answer is a), PRISM+ may not be as great for the immersion.
If the answer is b), PRISM+ is the way to go for you.

Korean monitors. 27" 1440p or 39/43" 4K

If you need local warranty, the new aftershock monitors will work good too (rebranded Korean but with warranty).

I "downgraded" from a Qnix 1440p 27inch monitor to a LG 29" FHD ultrawide monitor and never looked back. Ultrawide is just so immersive and LG monitors have fantastic color accuracy and display profile. My only complaint is that even at its dimmest setting, it can still be too bright for me at times.

You're saying like AAA and FPS are mutually exclusive
