Monitor Screen Damaged by Humidity?

Hi peeps,

Any idea what happened to my Samsung monitor?, was it caused by humidity or just wear & tear (happen to not use the monitor for half a year too).

Anyone have similiar issue before?

Doesn't look normal. Is that moist? Cause I can see like something rough or looks like some snowy looking dots on the pictures. Humidity can damage the screen, but I have never seen this sort of issue before. For my case, I believe the damage from humidity starts from the edge of the screen where it starts to darken.
