Asus B850m plus Tuf motherboard audio not working

Hi

I bought a pc from invaderpc preinstalled with Asus B850m plus wifi 7 Tuf motherboard. when i plug speaker into back of motherboard green audio port there is no sound but the port seem able detect the speaker. However when plug to case front audio port there is sound. Tried reinstall driver but no use. Seek advice on this thanks!

Go to device manager and see any unknown/problematic device?

Check sound settings and see if output is not disabled from that port?

Check the bios for front and rear audio settings.

1) Have you installed the driver from Asus website?
PS for ASUS drivers you have to run the ASUS setup.exe as it have to install
other components like Sonic Studio and DTS component.
If you run setup only you have to install other components manually.

2) Like in first point was there any accumlation mark under the device manager?
ASUS onboard sound usually need the additional component like Sonic studio to be installed
than it will work properly.

3) After the driver is installed, under Realtek audio console.

Under device advanced setting, did it detect the rear audio panel connection.
Most of the time if the audio isn't working is due to the software cuz the driver have
to install than the audio jack sensoring will work properly.

However if you did the above and still cannot than send back to InvaderPC/Dynacore for checking.
Very rare that motherboard audio jack can spoil.

Did you push in deep enough for the backport, presumably it is 3.5mm? - Don't force it in tho

Last time i have this sometime have sound, sometimes no sound issue on b450 tomahawk, reinstall driver also no use, i thought is my motherboard back green audio port faulty, end up is my old speaker is going to spolit soon. Can try test with a spare speaker if your speaker is not new.
