Mouse disconnecting connectin

Hi guys ,


Not sure if mouse or what but when i plug my mouse in it would intermittent disconnect and connect..

I also tried different ports and mouse and same issue..

Not sure if mouse or mobo problem

Can the motherboard ports have issue? If so how do i replicate during rma? Cause it's intermittently...

Try that mouse on your other PCs....

Yes i did that.. My G400 hang.. So i tried another one . The other one totally could not work..

Try that mouse on your other PCs....

Actually i think seriously the ports got issue. I have tried updating.

And during a lightbulb idea period. I just connect the mouse to the USB 3.0 on the case.. Working leh.. No disconnect.. USB2.0 disconnects though

Any chance just the USB2.0 ports are spoilt?

try using a laptop(different PC). This will help confirm if the mouse is the one causing the problem.

If you don't have any computer to test at home, you can try at work or school

Okay guys. decided to try a mouse on cold boot on the com. 30 minutes in and mouse no issue.. So i guess the mouse is spoilt.. Haha

have u tried the mouse on the another computer?

I mean correct me if im wrong. Gathering all the information from reading this thread this is what you have done:

ComputerA
Mouse1 Mouse2

Scenario:
1)You have tried Mouse1 and Mouse2 On ComputerA (every USB 2.0/3.0 ports) which both mice failed

Possible conclusion:
1)that ComputerA HUBS are physically damaged or Drivers are faulty
2) Mouse1 or/and mouse2 are faulty

Next Scenario to test:
1)Try mouse1 and mouse2 on another PC/Laptop
2)Uninstall/Reinstall computerA Motherboard Drivers

As you can see, your mouse1 may not be spoilt. So test it on another PC or Laptop before you throw away.


BTW, devices like mouse and keyboards are suited to be mounted on USB 2.0(better compatibility especially for older wireless mice).

In your terms, i removed mouse 1 while com is off. Plug in mouse 2 and there have not been any issue up till now.

Initially i already concluded mouse 1 has issue as i google and the Logitech G400 is abundantly problematic. So i decided to RMA it. Then while playing games i couldnt take the disconnection and connected mouse 2 while mouse 1 was acting up... So I thought the motherboard was spoilt. But apparently it is all fine. Mouse 1 (G400) is the one spoilt...
