MR16 light fixture question.

OK, I have this MR16 light fixture, used to be for dimmable lights, but I changed from dimmer to normal switches, and replaced with normal LED MR16 lights.

But now I want to replace them with RGB MR16 bulbs, but they don't work - don't light up when switched on.

The RGB bulbs work when I test them in a MR16 to E27 adapter so that not an issue. Anyone with such experience before?

E27 is 110 or 230V AC.

U use a special transformer for the E27 to MR16 adaptor?

Nope. Just normal adapter.

Thats a GU10 bulb.

So.. its a pure 230V AC wiring setup. So to troubleshoot, its a simple testpen method to see where the connectivity has failed. I suspect is the GU10 connector at the ceiling. The spring contact tend to be easily bent.

confirm your led is ac or dc 12V or AC 230V.
Confirm your ceiling power supply match with the correct one.
If DC polarity must correct.

Don't think connectivity is an issue. The ceiling GU5.3 works with a white led bulb, just not with this GU5.3 rgb bulb.

That's right. gU10 should be 220v type.

You bought this from China? Some China maker use MR16 pin for 220v AC input. Better check before connecting to AC 220v.

It's marked as gu5.3. Bought it online so dunno if China or not.

It works in a E27 to GU5.3 adapter, just not in the ceiling GU5.3 socket.

that is a 12V AC led bulb, you need 12V AC driver for that.
