M'sia boy, 14, allegedly stabbed girl, 16, more than 50 times in school after he confessed feelings & she rejected him
The girl reportedly rejected his advances.
A 14-year-old male student allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old female student
to death at a school in Selangor, Malaysia on Oct. 14.
The alleged assailant reportedly stabbed the victim more than 50 times,
Sin Chew Daily reported.
The attack allegedly left a pool of blood at the scene.
The suspect
reportedly does not have any known mental illness, and is apparently the youngest of three siblings in his family.
He was
allegedly armed with numerous sharp weapons and cornered the victim in the toilet.
He then took her hostage before stabbing her.
A victim's friend, who was nearby, immediately ran to find a discipline teacher for help.
The teacher broke the door down but the suspect allegedly managed to escape and began chasing other students with the knife, a student recounted.
Described as reclusive
He has been described by peers in school as
reclusive and quiet, but also quick to anger.
A classmate said the alleged assailant would wear a mask in class and seldom spoke to others.
He also did not appear to have friends.
Allegedly confessed feelings to victim
Citing a police source who
spoke to the suspect's brother, who was also studying in the same school, the suspect was fond of the victim and had confessed his feelings for her on the
night before the attack, but was rejected,
Sin Chew Daily reported.
His phone reportedly contained numerous photos of the victim, according to the assailant's brother.
A fellow student reportedly witnessed the rejection.
Unhappy about academic matters
It was also reported that the suspect was unhappy about being placed in a preparatory class due to his poor command of the Malay language.
What allegedly happened before attack
On the day of the incident some time before 9:10am, the alleged assailant
requested to leave his classroom as he wanted to go to the bathroom.
He was allowed to but never returned, a fellow student told media.
There was suddenly shouting from downstairs and the assailant allegedly exclaimed that he had killed someone.
His uniform was apparently covered in blood by then.
Another student said the alleged assailant then
tried to enter his brother's classroom in the same school.
The classroom was occupied by students who were taking an exam at the time.
When the invigilator apparently saw the alleged attacker covered in blood, the door to the classroom was shut to prevent him from entering.
It was
separately reported that the suspect ran into several classrooms occupied by younger students after the attack.
He was eventually subdued by teachers and his older brother.
The police has
slammed the spreading of rumours that the incident supposedly stemmed from a case of bullying and the attack was carried out as a form of revenge.
