Can you have an account at 2 different brokerages at the same time, but linked to 1 CDP account?

I have a kay hian account but the fees are high for a transaction. Looking for another brokerage to use. Does my trades have to be withdrawn if I sign up at a new brokerage?

Can. You can have as many trading accounts as you like linked to your CDP.

If you're shares are not held in custodian at the brokerage, it doesn't really matter. They are held with CDP. Can buy with 1 trading platform and sell with another.

when you sign up the new trading account, just manually port over the records of those current holdings w CDP. You can just "add" a new record to your portfolio holdings. Make it exactly same as CDP, so when sell, no need to check CDP.

The downside to having multiple trading accounts is tracking the date/price of the stocks in holding. Just choose one to use 1 easier.
