hi all, my sis lost her IP5 yesterday.
loaded with 'find my iphone'.
questions,
if that person who took it and do a erase on all setting and content, still possible to track back? apps will be gone right?
if that person insert his/her sim card into the iphone, will telco be able to track the imei and sim card?
if that person connect it with itunes, can track with the imei?

questions,

It's just an app to track the iphone, not the other way round

Nope. All settings erased.... how will the phone know where to send it's location?

apps will be gone right?
Definately if a clean restore was done.

Nope. Singapore telco does not provide this service nor which basestation the phone has last connected to.

This question you gotta think properly. His itunes, how you access?

Have some hope with IMEI. Contact Apple personally.

Proof that the phone was your purchase.
Proof that you have made a police report.
Ask Apple to flag that phone as stolen. (They might do nasty things to stop the user)
Ask Apple to track the recent IMEI activation.
Ask Apple to help in investigation.
Hope you get some luck!

You are supposed to use the Find My iPhone app on another device to TRACK the one you're using. Installing the app doesn't do anything to help, sadly.

Try to use the IMEI and contact Apple. Lodge a report.
