Shilin nm is a good place to kill time.

Another place I found in the last visit is gongguan nm around gongguan mrt stn.. Vibrant place with young people because it is near a university, probably can say replaces shida nm.

In Hualien, tried the gongzheng bao zi. dun find it special. It's cheap though. Also saw a lot of shops selling muay chee. Wanted to try the famous oyster egg but it was closed that day.

tried the bian shi aka wanton soup. quite nice, and amazing that shops can survive just by selling wanton soup.

I saw your earlier post..and I went Nanmen market..to buy white bitter gourd and some cny goodies..

But never buy any fruits because only one fruit stall there so I guess most probably will mark up the prices one..
