the sole reason on why there was an extension for the Myanmar voting is due to the sole reason of influx of foreigner workers in Singapore. I work in a public hospital and i've seen 50% or more foreigners in the hospital than local singaporeans. Why are we allowing foreigners to trample over us? why are Singaporeans like a second class citizen in our own country? why are we allowing foreigners to take the jobs meant for singaporeans? Many of my fresh graduate peers had a difficult time finding a job. I only understand the reason behind it when i started working and saw the number of foreigners in the workplace. Foreigners have a totally different work ethics than us Singaporeans and they do unethical things. I urge the government or the public hospitals to do some thing about it before Singaporeans lose confidence in the government who won a 70% confidence vote.
I applaud the education ministry in increasing the education fees for PR and work permit holders. i believe it could be raised further. All other countries charge a higher education fees for their non-local people. Why should we use our own tax payer money to pay for their worthless education?
