Any reviews of the performance? Might consider getting it if the performance and price is right.

You recee first. :s13:

The unit looks tall from the picture. Maybe wait for the price first. Sakali >$200 since now DNS-323 is like $169. If priced better than DNS-323 then can hoot liaox. hahaha

from the datasheet in the link given by ts above, seems like the hdd is now inserted vertically instead of horizontally... hmm think it will take up less desk space

saw from the other forum that this device can be fun plugged by editing the fun plug script....

another interesting device to hack...

What's the difference between DNS-320 and 323 ?
Is 320 really a successor to 323?
Superficially, model number lower. Price also lower (based on SITEX price)
320 "SITEX Price: $149".......323 = $169

I get the feeling dns-320 is a scaled-down version of dns-323.

No jumbo frame support and no bit-torrent (based on data sheet).
Otherwise everything else looks the same except 320 comes with web file server.

As long as it is funplug-able, we can use transmission for bt. We can try to tweak the interface for jumbo frames. Nothing really stopping us (i think).

Don't think so leh, processor is 800Mhz and RAM 128MB vs 500Mhz and 64MB for DNS-323.

Got BT client running on Bittorrent mah, also with support on Funplug, getting other BT client like Transmission is not an issue.

And as mentioned, HD installation is plugged in from the top rather than from front.

some thoughts based on the specs

the non-raid to raid 1 migration looks nice.
can buy 1 hdd first and then 'upgrade' to raid 1 in future

the UPS monitoring will come in handy also. imagine leaving your NAS on 24/7 and while you are out, there's a power outbreak. even raid 1 will not save your data if the outbreak causes the hdd to spoil!

might be getting one also to try it out and compare it with my synology (which is much more expensive :()
