I want to go to navy but dw to sign on till i can decide while training there. My friend got posted to airforce from tekong. So i wanna ask if there is any way to get posted to navy after vocation without signing on

You can express interest when being asked, but that may just be a formality and does not necessarily make any difference.

There's this thing that my friend say, at 2017 u can choose where to go? Eg army navy or airforce

Don't put too much hope. If it is an ideal vocation, the slots avaliable would be over before you know it, because operational requirement is still a must fill...

(logically speaking, who wants to go to an infantary chiong sua unit if given the choice? But still there must be people to fill the place)

when you enter tekong for bmt will your commander asks you during some interview or something?

Or must you be pro active and suggest your interest in a vocation to your commander instead?

For the choosing vocation thing it's during the pre enlistment checkup and I'm not sure how it works and if it's only for saf vocations.

When enlisted tell your commander you want to go navy, see what they can do

Second this. I honestly don't think that system of allowing you to choose your preferred vocations work unless you volunteer for infantry or guards lol
