Hello!

I have been looking at the Neckermann sandals for quite sometime. Both brands have rather similar style of sandals.

Superficially, Neckermann is priced relatively lower than Birkenstocks. Will more people go for Necker in this case?

I would like to hear some reviews from forum users on these brands.

(Oh, yes! I have done my search on HWZ and VRZ and the term "Neckermann" hardly exists [relevantly])

Thanks.

P.S.
I am those type who test out at the local stores and buy them online to save money.
And, I am aware that Birken have local stores in Singapore.
Is there any Necker store in Singapore? No.

I am settling for a Birkenstock!
Just $73.20 for Birkenstock versus a Neckermann at $39.90.

Neckermann has a limited variety of sandals as compared to Birkenstock.

I wore Neckermann too, becos they are cheaper :)
The Neckermann fit is alright for me, but Birkenstock comes in different widths to suit narrower or wider feet, so the fit is a little better and a wee bit more comfortable.

On a side note, my sis bought Birkenstock during some sale at Changi Airport T3 at 50%. I do not know if that still happens, but the sale was cheaper than getting online.

Birkie fits better. Check out in shop service they get the mould fitting exactly for your foot size and birkie last a damn long time. Mine is four years old now and still wear like new.

Still wear like new? Mine is maybe 1 year old and the footbed has turned brownish-black(normal). But overall, still as comfortable and nice.

To me both sandals are more or less the same, branding aside. Yes birks will have better overall fit, but thats kind of redundant since after prolonged wear the footbed changes to your feet. So if you are not going for the brand, go for neckermann. My neckermann version of florida costs 32 bucks as opposed to the actual 130.

Neckermann really sux, I wore for less den 3x and threw it away. super uncomfortable and heavy. Material also much inferior as compared to Birkenstock.

As for Birkenstock, super light and after wearing for like more than 1.5years. The sole is still in a very good condition. Worth the $$$ paid. :)

1 Year Old = How much sole is gone? How bad is the wear and tear for the straps and buckles?

Since you have raise the issue of Birken with water, how well is Birken/Necker during wet and slippery situations?

Do please recommend me a couple of sites which offer a range of Birken online. I would love to shop online and ship/post to Singapore.

Aiya maxell, instead of asking so much, just get a birks and move on. Its not very exp anyway. It last a long time. And yes they will provide a chart to measure your fit size and all to make sure you get it right. And, normally only the footbed will wear and tear NOT the straps or the buckle. Just get a birks you'll never go wrong

Thank you for your aggressive promoting of Birkens. I'm sure they would love you.

It is definitely a good brand to consider, marketing at a rocket high price.

have to agree on the weight. i came from neckermann to briks and was really happy at the weight reduction. anyway, the whole sole of the neckermann came off then..

I would say neckermann is a better choice. Sure, birks offer better fit and solid construction, but thats not to say neckermann is pure ****. I have both and i feel they have no real difference other than the fit and some parts. So 40 bucks vs 140? let common sense decide.

Oh yes. I do have this reservation in me. Spend $30 four times on Neckermann or $120 on one Birken.

Theft and wear-and-tear on Neckermann seems much more 'affordable'

Really tempting and puzzled.
