need advice for 1st timer rig builder

as per topic, need some advice for the rig that i am currently planning. im comtemplating msi twin frozr r9 280 and r9 280x, but i have no idea what are the exact differences between the two cards besides a 50 odd price difference and the x card being slightly better?

pls advise, thank you ! ^^
(P.S. not going for 290 and above due to budget contraints)
