Need advice for my creative stage

I have recently purchased a creative stage and prism 340 monitor for my desktop. Used to output on a TV previously.
Now I have issue trying to get my sound to my creative stage. It has only aux-in, hdmi and optical. Don't wish to aux-in as I prefer to use digital mediums.
My digital audio can only be from my 1050TI video card which has DP and hdmi ports. Dp port is used for my prism monitor and I tried to connect a hdmi cable to the creative stage but the sound does not work.
Hope to get advice on how to utilise my creative speaker the best out of it. Thanks.

Edit: Spoke too soon. It only has 2 inputs, HDMI (ARC) or 3.5mm AUX.

Optical is output and USB is for media...

You can have a clone desktop to output to Creative Stage through HDMI since the HDMI needs Video+Audio. Can't only output Audio...

Or just use 3.5mm AUX.

I thought in terms of sound quality, hdmi/optical is more superior than using aux-in. Since my speaker has those options, might as well go for digital medium.

Your understanding is wrong.

Your sound quality depends on which DAC (Digital to Analog Converter)
that you are using.

HDMI to your Speaker = Your Speaker's Build In DAC

You want Soundcard to Speaker you need to use 3.5mm from your Soundcard to your Speakers.

If 3.5mm from Motherboard to Speakers = Sound is from your Mobo Soundchip.

Same as Bluetooth Earphones, you use the DAC inside your Bluetooth Device.

Your motherboard onboard sound should be better than the speaker DAC.
Usually speaker DAC chui one, 16/24 bit 44.1 or 48kHz.
Onboard can usually go higher.

Onboard Sound actually not bad already, you buy $40 USB soundcard also won't get any difference from onboard unless your onboard is faulty.

The DAC on speakers are worst.

You go test both with your own ears lah.
Go with whatever you hear liao feel better.
If both no difference to you then it doesn't matter either.

Firstly Creative soundbar isn't a "true" soundbar that is like
home theater type.
The HDMI is ARC so it is intended to connect with TV so if you
try to connect PC to it, it won't work.

This also applies to HTS soundbar and AVR, device connection
are to HDMI in ports but not ARC port.
PC wise, either 3.5mm or optical will do fine.

PC speaker DAC are usually not very good as compare with
soundcard and etc.
Unless in the future you want better sound you can consider
speakers like Creative Katana or Logitech G560 which uses
USB connection.

But of cuz such speaker cost three times of stage.

thanks for all the valuable advices. Guess my best option now is just to connect to my motherboard using aux-in connection until I have more budget to upgrade to a much better sound card/speakers.
