Need advice on advancement

I recently completed my Diploma in IT Service Management and got myself ITIL Foundation 2011 certified. I'm really interested in pursuing this service line as my future career. I've read stuff about ISO/IEC 20000 and ITIL Intermediate/Expert and PMP.

So far i only have <1yr working experience in related field.
Any advice?

Get experience working in IT operations first either by performing a technical role, or look for process coordinator roles (rare though).
