Need advise for a 2k rig

Hi, I am thinking of DIY a PC and I don't know if this budget is overkill or it is not enough? No need keyboard, mouse and speaker but need a minimum 27" new monitor. Not into hardcore gaming but need it for some 3D cad software due to work. I have already brought my SSD (Samsung 840 EVO-500GB), so this is not included into the 2k budget. The casing that I like is Corsair Obsidian 450D or Fractal-Design Arc Midi R2, don't know which is better.
And if you don't mind, help me choose the OS too.
