Current specs :
Ryzen 5 2600
Msi b450m tomahawk
Gtx 1660 super
16gb x 2 3200 but only running on 2133 , might have purchased a fake ram from china 😐
Dual monitor 24inch 1920x1080

Current usage
Cs go
Dota2
Blackshot
Ragnarok online
Light editing
Multi tabs google chrome

Experiencing smooth game for cs go, dota2 and blackshot on ultra high settings

The issue I am experiencing is FPS drop in ragnarok during fights/engage with game effect on , typically around 50-80 characters using skills on my screen.

For the ram kit that I have purchased, I tried to change the speed to 2666 and 2933 but encounter blue screen maybe once every 2 days
Error code : system service exception
Now that I have changed to 2133 , no more blue screen

I would like to know whether does upgrading the cpu from ryzen 5 2600 to ryzen 5 3600/3600XT or ryzen 7 3700x helps to reduce the fps drop ?

Thanks in advance !

DID you enable XMP profile in your BIOS? This is most likely why your RAM is not running at the correct speed.

In terms of pushing your system, upgrading to a R5 3600 will make very little to no difference. Your bottleneck is on the GPU not the CPU but fixing the RAM speed may help a little.

I did set as profile 1 running on 2933 , task manager showing 2933 and cmd prompt also showing 2933 when i search for getspeed but cpu-z show my ram as 2134 , not sure whether my explanation is correct . I will screenshot and post here later

Maybe you can try dropping the detail level from High or Medium and then try again and see how bad the impact on FPS?

I will give it a try to medium , see how it goes.
Maybe it might be due to ragnarok is an old game and the game not was suitable for amd ?? Because from what I know lan shops spec with i7-7700k , 2060 able to play smoothly with effect on

I have just enabled the XMP and choosen profile 1 - 2933MHZ

Will leave it as it is for now until it blue screen again :s13:

That's the wrong tab. You should be looking under memory and not SPD. SPD stores information for your XMP profile like the speed and timings.

Erm regarding this , I have yet to check on the CPU usage when the FPS drop , will keep a look out on this as well

my bad,
Dram Frequency : 1465.8MHZ so i supposed it is correct since i set it as 2933Mhz
FSB:DRAM 3:44 ( don't know what is this )
previously i have set this as well but keep on blue screen , no choice but to set it as 2133mhz

Yup wrong tab,.. you should be looking at the Memory tab. It should show: -

Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 1600 or very close to it since your RAM is 3200 speed.
