Need help/advice on an old rig

Hi everyone.

I have an old DIY desktop from nearly 6 years back. Broke down a year after (apparently GFX card fried), got a guy to try and repair but after 2 months, broke down again. Left it alone after that, so don't really know what problems it has now.

Need advice on what I can do now with it. Repair, upgrade, scrap? Or anything else. Specs as follows:

Intel Quad Core QX6800
Asus P5KR
550W PSU
XFX 8800GTX
4GB RAM
500GB HDD

Scrap. And maybe keep the psu depending on what your new rig is, and keep the hdd as a secondary drive.

Alternatively, take out all the unnecessary and turn it into a NAS.

Scrap. If the hard disk is sata based may be can keep. The rest of it belongs to the trash.
