Trying to enlist into NS sooner because I don't want to waste time rotting at home doing nothing or work in a temp job .

My deferment is up till Feb 2018 , however I'm trying to maybe get into one of the February slot listed on https://www.cmpb.gov.sg/cmpb/before-ns/enlistment-dates/ .

Contacted customer support , they told me to email in my graduation letter , which I did . However the email states "You would be scheduled for enlistment from May 2018 onwards."

Is there any other way I can get in sooner ?

Your deferment because you continued your study after O level in poly is it?

ITE , course ended on December and awaiting for graduation ceremony .

My guess is they have already filled up the spaces for February BMT (since it's a JC batch). Hence they are slotting you on May onwards.

Is it not possible to appeal for earlier date ? I'm looking at either Feb or March but preferably Feb since I literally have nothing to do and I'm running out of saving since I'm not working anymore .

Think of it this way, are you the only ITE graduate whose course ended in December and awaiting for graduation ceremony, waiting to enlist? If that's a no, then what happens if every other people like you appealed for an earlier date? What will they do? let everybody enlist earlier?

Are you the only 1 having nothing to do? I doubt. but are people finding something to do during the period? I bet

Judging by the calendar,it's highly impossible they are able to slot you in. They need to mail you your enlistment letter. Which could take days or maybe a week or 2. PTP batch intake is between 6 and 10 Feb. You can try to fight for March, but February is technically impossible.

Edit: Just checked. March have no PTP intake. Next PTP batch would be May. So yeah, can understand why they slot you in May batch

As a matter of fact , currently I'm the only one who has completed the course in my class , technically ITE courses are supposed to end in late Feb / March but due to some circumstances I completed mine earlier . My course was supposed to end during Mid march .

PTP is Physical Training Phase right ? I'm not sure if I'm PES B or B1 specifically but I'm certain I'm one of those 2 since I did inquire about it after screening .

Assuming if I'm PES B , couldn't I take the pre-enlistment IPPT if I pass it , just skip to the one normal intake and not the PTP one ?

If I'm PES B1 means I'm not in the PTP enlistee group right ?

You are using your class as a comparison only. What about your school. what about other ITE?

Yep PTP = Physical Training Phase. PES B always has a number accompanying it, B1, B2, B3, B4. So you got 1 in 4 chances of getting it correct.

You could take pre-enlistment IPPT, pass it and just enter enhanced (i.e. non PTP) BMT. but that doesn't mean you will get to enlist in the upcoming one.

You will have to review your question regarding the PES B1 thingy. cause there are PES B1, B2, B3 and B4. PES B1 is like combat fit hence you can take pre-enlistment IPPT and just serve 1 year 10 months. whereas B2 - B4 still 2 years and will enlist on the PES B2 to B4 enlistment dates

You are confusing yourself. PES status do not determine whether you are PTP batch. PES A and B1 have PTP batch.
There are 2 types of PES A/B1:
1) You pass pre-enlistment IPPT,you qualify for 1y10m service.
2) You fail/never take pre-enlistment IPPT,you are liable for 2y service.

What is the reason for your "due to some circumstances" which lets you to complete the course earlier than the rest? Do take note, when you enrolled into ITE last time, you applied for NS deferment right. That deferment period ends on the date before your "due to some circumstances". So because of this, they will take note of your official ITE end date and they will call you up thereafter, in this case after March.

On a site note, I've seen and heard people who completed studies early but never get call up to enlist. So they work part time or temporary for like 6-9 months before their enlistment date.
