Need help for a dying HDD

My drive from a file server came up with an error saying that the hard disk is dying and I should back it up. Very likely report from smart. I tried to copy the files they are pretty slow and every other file there will be an error asking if I should try again to copy the file cos it cant read from source file or disk. Is there an easier way other than keep having to click try again?

Look like your hard disk got bad sectors that causes copy error.

yup nevertheless, I'm looking for solutions to copy the files out since clicking try again works. would like to ask the community if there's a good program out there or some scripts so I dun have to click try again manually.

Your drive is having bad sectors, which is a hardware problem. It cannot be solve by software. Repeated clicking of a bad sectors will aggravate the heads and eventually kill your drive totally.

Seeking professional help early will get better chances of recovering your important files and also at a lower cost.
