Advice needed for upgrade, i5 or i7?

My current spec,

C2Q q9550 2.83ghz
Kingston 2gb x 2 800mhz CL6
Seagate 500gb sata
Msi- 8800 gs
acbel e2 510w
coolermaster elite 335

Use for 3d max(but not heavy user)
No gaming.
Intended to get Quadro 2000, Quadro 600 or Gtx 560ti.
Possible to get Quadro 600 from DELL?
Keeping the HD, casing and the PSU too.
No over clock.
Budget $500-$700 (excluded gpu):)

Again, it depends on how much accuracy you need for your job. If you do not need accuracy that much in rendering of the image then stick to a gaming graphic card.

The only difference between a gaming card and a professional card is the type of memory used. The board the plastic everything else is the same, plus a re-brand so they can charge u double/triple the amount.

Hey for normal usage ah your current rig is better than mine, i intend to upgrade to a new rig like you 1 year ago. But i got a SSD drive and the intention of upgrade has been put on hold until maybe i can't get a replacement part for my current rig any more. :D

I'm happy if have 70% accuracy n no lag. Since spending $200 on 560ti if can get Quadro 600 from dell at $260 with a better performance, I should go with the Qudro 600?

I intend to sell away the processor and ram to cover the upgrade cost :)
