Need help. Hard drive has failed

Need help guys! My computer got a problem with black white screen
ERROR: NO BOOT DISK DETECTED OR THE DISK HAS FAILED.

Anyone has solution to this? Most importantly want to know if data in HDdrive can be retrieved! Did not back up at all

Did u reset your BIOS b4? If this is do, set your OS drive as main drive. Otherwise try changing sata cable.

Might be able to do so. U need another hdd with a os. Boot up then explore the old hdd.

hi guys, just want to share how I managed to recover my data. the connect after start up method didn't work. device manager cant detect.

but I read up on modern day hdds and realized theres a SMART technology thing which will allow the HDD to tell the motherboard when it senses that it is failing. I realize this SMART technology is integrated in the bios too to ensure that all hardware fine before booting up into windows. hence I disable the SMART on bios and was able to boot up with new hdd into windows and "spoilt" hdd as secondary and then quickly transfer all my stuff out.
