I buy so many export Xiaomi <$250 w/o warranty all OK.

If I'm not eligible for corp plan, i wont even sign expensive phone like my S8+ lor.

less than $250 is ok for export but not those $900. dun think got ppl buy export s9 or even s8. if spoil will have problem sending it for service.

Instant paperweight if spoil. But most troubling is that if it's export set, most shop don't buy back at all.

I had same problem after I open up xiaomi phone, turns out the problem is the rubber securing the camera not positioned correctly, just need to resit properly by opening it again. Too bad advise came late.

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX 2 using GAGT

Are phones sold in Mustafa considered export sets?
They are almost the same price compared to phones sold in JB.

The counter display it will display the wording as for EXPORT or LOCAL use on each phone model clearly.

And Mustafa staff will tell you that which phones are export and local sets when you want to see the display set and before selling the sets to you.

EXPORT sets pricing do varies according to Retailers/shops and you can find them along Serangoon road shops too, which i did bought from.

For LOCAL set the pricing will be Retail price as in Manufacturer/Distributor Retail price as i had bought from them before.
Discount maybe a little or not... can't remember the price i paid and actual Retail price.

They may be quite hesitate to sell you the EXPORT set if they know you are local, which they did to me.
When i ask to see a display set, the staff informed me on for EXPORT before handling me.

Almost all the phones I use are export sets.. LG fl24, sharp crystal x, xiaomi note 3,xiaomi mi max, xiaomi mi mix... Just bought xiaomi 5 plus export for wife spare phone and export xiaomi note 5 China for my mum... No problem one.. If price is cheaper by at least 25 to 30 % worth it.. Nowasday phone even got 1 year warranty u think u drop and screen crack can claim warranty?

Just curious, you got the global rom export or the China rom export set? and what are the differences?

china rom one... both are same physical phone but different rom.. china rom also got support english but got chines apps which u can uninstall... basically they are the same... but my personal experience is china rom is much stable and got more features then global rom for miui:D

LTE band coverage specs the same?
How about play store, easy to install and working?

Refer > Global vs. Chinese MIUI ROM: What's the difference?

As long as the phone is within our LTE specification it should not be an issue.

The Google Installer should be quite straightforward.
Had done this some years ago on an export Xiaomi phone without any issue.
Did installed all those Google apps within the Google Installer and may take some times for it to run smoothly later.
