need help on testing few old items

will you guys know anyone i can go to test if the below mentioned parts it is still working fine?

just this 4 items. i need a run down test.

below is the list of items

G-Skill 2x4GB DDR3 16000HZ
MSI Z68A-GD80(B3)
i7-2600K
MSI 6950 Power edition

What is it that you wanna test? And what is it that you want to know if the rig is fine?

ya to test if it still able to work anot.. so i can buy some new wares for it.

looking at buying a psu a casing maybe 2 more rams to hit 16gb, ssd + storage drive and a swiftech h220x

maybe change the graphic card as well. but first must test if it is working fine.

roughly how much for such a test?

Why can't you test it yourself?
Just on the power button and post your finding so that we can help.


Normally $20 for diagnostic.

Motherboard need to bring to the distributor if it is still under warranty.

Once confirm working, the other 3 item just plug in to the mono and run .

1 last question. does my current cpu and mobo bottle neck the latest gpu or upcoming gpu?

A full run down test can take several hours, you probably need to load a OS and run memtest and prime95. Nigel can probably help you but don't expect instant immediate diagnosis. As for your question about the gpu bottleneck, I doubt it will bottleneck with something very current like the r9 290. Should still be good.
