hi all, new to hwz but i'm here as recommended by someone i met in a support group. so context is, in feb of this year my little brother took his own life, and about 6 months later i finally got his phone from the police. his phone is locked with the pattern kind of password and i've been losing my damn mind trying to unlock it, because i feel like there could be info which would give me closure on his death and the people involved in it (his company basically).

so, i'm asking if there is any way to unlock this phone, which if i am not wrong is a Samsung Galaxy S25, WITHOUT factory resetting his phone and wiping out the data because that would defeat the purpose of breaking into his phone for answers.

Samsung customer service is of ZERO HELP with this, and lead me on to think they could do it without resetting the phone. is there any kind soul who is willing to help me, for free? i cant give anything in return as i lost my job the same week he died so i have no money, so if you help me it's purely out of your goodwill and kindness. sus methods are okay too, i'm just desperate for anything that works. please help me someone. thanks.

So sorry for your loss, condolences. I am not sure how to unlock legally. But i have found some tools on youtube, not sure how it will help though.

Do you know his Google password?
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...-help-accessing-his-mobile-phone/td-p/9754864 may help !

quoted from the site:
I'm very sorry for your loss, and understand that this must be a difficult time for you. As your request relates to a security feature of the phone, proof of ownership will be required, therefore if you have a copy of the proof of purchase then it may be possible for an authorised engineer to unlock the device for you. What I'd suggest is getting in touch with our Support Team by heading to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, and an advisor will be able to explore your available options.

Not sure if you have access to his computer and able to access his internet browser. The browser might have his google account signed in, you can check his gmail. Also check google photos if the photos are automatically sync, hence maybe can find some photos.
