Need help w PC Build

Current Rig is aprx 6-7yo. undertand price are a lil high right now but my PC has been showing sign of death (unable to start...the PC will boot up and down right away.... fan running loudy at high speed)

Usage: Light Gaming on games like GTA5, RDR2, Watch Dog, AC, Hitman
Normally focus on Movies, web surfing
the rig must be able to last at least 5yrs
Budget wise around 2k+ would be best

Current Monitor is a FHD Dell but have plans to upgrade to a better monitor. Aim is 2 to 3 screen but nothing is concrete

Was looking at Aftershock & Dreamcore (no preference tbh...if there are better ones out there or parts there are more value for money, do recommend to me

If you want to upgrade your monitor to a 4K one, then your graphics card should be 4K capable ie RTX3080/6800XT and above

Go to Dynacore and look for this guy named Abu. He seems the honest type.

Make sure your motherboard is an Ultra Durable series from Gigabyte. That should easily last you 5 years and more. Ultra Durable series motherboards have capacitors that clock over 10,000 hours without fail.
For stability, you might want an Intel CPU. Not saying AMD is bad, AMD is an overclocking CPU.

Making your own build gives you the option to play around with the GPU and upgrade it as and when. You will have more freedom with RAM size as well. Your budget can get so much more. I think.

Anyway, that being said. Between the MSI and Gigabyte, I would go Gigabyte, Better Quality control.

budget gigabyte am4 motherboards like the ds3h (which is from the ultra durable series) are generally of poor quality and have vrms that run a lot hotter than competing brands, which would hurt long term endurance. in fact, for the am4 platform i would say msi is the superior choice (except for their budget x570 range). see below (where the gigabyte boards are the hottest running b550 boards save for the asus):

if a board with a higher end chipset has such poor performance, i dont have high hopes for the a520 ds3h. that said though, gigabyte's more premium am4 boards and intel range are pretty decent. speaking of intel, im not sure where u got that info about intel being more stable by virtue of ryzen cpus being unlocked; there also exists unlocked intel cpus.

anyway, @ts, neither build seems particularly value. 3k build should be able to get u a 5000 series ryzen and a 3070, only getting a 1660s for that money is just insane.

Overpriced to me. Self build i think you will save quite abit.
Assuming you can find a GPU. Alternative you can buy a 11th gen intel cpu with integrated graphics (its pretty decent nowadays) and do an intel build. While using the integrated graphics for the time being, take your time to wait till you can find the GPU that you are aiming for (and at a price you are ok with).

To be specific, you can consider a intel i5-11500 CPU.
Make sure its not intel i5-11500F.

Oh, definitely don't buy the one with the gtx 1660.
