Between the 2 choice, if you have budget, ipad mini is always the better choice. China tablet don really last as long. Plus, if there is any problem, you can always send ipad mini for repair.

They may look the same but they r very different tablets. Ultimately, your decision will depend on which OS you prefer - IOS or Android. If IOS, u have no choice but if Android, there are many more options

1 thing to note. the mini one has bad wifi reception.

Another thing to note is mini one is totally new and only half price of an refurbished ipad which had some faults initially. If mini one spoilts,you still can buy another one which costs the same as ipad. Refurbished can be a good buy or nightmare. Ask the retailers what was the ipad being refurbish for if possible.

Specific problem like problematic buttons or dead pixels are easily to solve. Non-specific hardware/software problems are the hardest to solve. For eg ipad keeps hanging. You may think its ram,after refurbishing the rams,the problems may still exists.
