Need help with dual display

Im using a r9 280 from lazada.

Currently im using the graphic card's hdmi port to my main monitor.

Any help if i wish to use a dual monitor, for work purpose and not for games.
such that im gaming on one monitor and on the other monitor i can monitor my other stuff.

Monitor have HDMI port and VGA only. Samsung.

Use a HDMI or VGA to DVI adapter if you do not have another DVI cable for your main monitor.

I cant do something like , plug one to GPU and one to MotherBoard right?

One to GPU, one to mobo setup, also can, but must also go to BIOS and force the iGPU to activate, otherwise you are not going to get any picture from the secondary monitor.
