its been awhile since i looked into my mobile plan and i realised im overpaying so much... currently using starhub's old M plan that cost me 80 a month T_T

im actually looking at circle's plan for
unlimited incoming & outgoing
+ unlimited data.
^ this for main mobile phone

need a plan for my 2nd phone
looking at redone 3gb ( i do go to jb often so redone is perhaps the best option)

need a plan for my cctv at store
so i need the cheapest data only plan available
im guessing its giga?

is there others that is comparable?
also all these other telcos they dont have contract for cheaper phones right?
would appreciate it alot if someone can advise.. i tried doing some research myself and those were what i found...

Main mobile phone:
If you're looking at Circles for unlimited everything + port-in, it's $48 per month for 12 months, after that it will revert to $58 per month. So you might as well go straight to MyRepublic's Unlimited everything plan for $48 per month.

1) MyRepublic is cheaper in the long run.
2) MyRepublic's 4G data is 90GB while Circles' is only 40GB.
3) MyRepublic also gives you unlimited SMS while Circles only give you 25 SMS.

Secondary mobile phone:
Yup, if you go to JB often, then redONE would be the better choice. The connectivity is also good and fast. They already have an established presence in Malaysia.

Plan for cctv:
Depends on how much you need to use. If giga's $10 for 5GB plan is sufficient for you that is.

singtel one seems rather complicated.
but if im going for singtel starhub m1 i might as well sign 2 year contract and get a phone?
starhub offering me 150 voucher.
is there unlimited everything for starhub that is within 50 bucks?

i guess redone is the option for my spare phone
giga 10 bucks should be enough for cctv

so now is deciding on my main phone only
my idea now is either
starhub recontract to get iphone 11
or
circle/myrepublic sim only

hows the connection for myrepublic? cause i have bad experience with internet

MyRepublic piggybacks on StarHub's network. Read somewhere that it had network outage once before, but unsure of the impact.

My mum has been on MyRepublic's old Uno8 plan for quite a long time now and so far she has never had any issues.

There is unlimited outgoing. The unlimited talktime (free incoming) phrase on their website is just to let customers know that incoming calls is not part of the 8000 minutes talktime fair usage policy.

i.e. it's 8000 minutes outgoing calls + free incoming calls.

You can scroll down to the notes in their website to see this.

Hi guys, sorry to hijack the thread. (Jeremy, hope you dont mind)

I am on M1, 1 home broadband + 4 mobile lines. I have been with M1 since they first started in SG and am getting very disappointed with them. Zero loyalty and data connection is getting crappy ... (have to resort to TPG these days)

My average monthly bill for the above 1 + 4 is about $300 (already after multi-line discount). I see Singtel has the mobileshare thingy. It seems to be a lot cheaper if I just go for that and get 3 shared mobile lines.

Is this the most cost efficient approach? Please share your advice. Thanks!

In case pple ask what are the additional stuff that adds up to my monthly:
- 021 service (IDD using local call minutes on 2 lines)
- malaysia data passport on 1 line
- upsize data on 1 line (i think 5.99 a month)

You can look into vivifi if your over data don’t exceed 40gb.

You might also look into grid mobile if you need 40gb + free Malaysia roaming for each line.

Both are also on singtel network.

Cheers

If your data connection on M1 is bad, TPG won't really solve your problem since they are still building up on their infrastructure and feedback on their connectivity is bad.

For sharing of mobile lines, it really depends on your usage imo.

If the average data usage of each of your 4 lines is 10GB, then Vivifi Share (1 main line + 3 sharing lines) is the one for you at $45.95 per month with 46GB (i.e. 11.5GB per line and $11.49 on average).

If the average data usage of each of your 4 lines is 20GB, then get Vivifi Share as well (2 main lines + 1 sharing line per main line). It will be $70.50 per month with 84GB (i.e. 21GB per line and $17.63 on average).

If the average data usage of each of your 4 lines is 40GB, you can just get 1 Grid Mobile plan per line at $24.90 per month for 40GB + 1GB free roaming to Malaysia.

Hope this helps!
