Need help with new pc build

Hi all,

Need to get a new pc as current one is reaching close to 6 years and is on its last threads of life.

If it can be settled quickly, I will be buying the parts from SLS tomorrow (28th Jul). Not really on a budget, though it seems like I don't really need expensive parts for the build.

I can assemble the parts myself, but I'm no expert in selecting the parts. Need some help here.

Usage will be for:
1. Most of the time watching videos
2. Light to medium gaming 3-4 days a week

Need help with the following parts:
CPU - AMD seems to be the way now
Cpu cooler
Motherboard
RAM
PSU
SSD ~200gb+
Casing - Black colour

I will be re-using the following:
GPU - gtx980
Wifi card - asus pce-68
HDD
Windows OS

Looking forward to your recommendations
Also pls tell me which shop in SLS to buy them from. I don't know the different shops.

I would say Ryzen is good value for 3D rendering applications. From one of the V-Ray benchmarks, Ryzen R7-3700x can match the i9-9900k for less money. At the same time, you don't need to buy a cooler if you are not overclocking which further saves costs.

Here is a setup for your consideration (Prices from PC themes, might be cheaper online)
CPU + mobo: Ryzen R7-3700x + MSI B450 Tomahawk Max - 672
Cooler: If not considering overclocking, can use stock cooler
RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4-3200 CL16 2x16GB - 279
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500GB M.2 - 249
HDD: WD Blue 2TB - 85
GPU: Palit RTX2070 Dual Fan v2 - 688
(From what I see, RTX2070 Super has extra 100 dollar price premium, not sure if for extra 256 CUDA cores it is worth. I'm also not sure if you are using V-Ray Hybrid for rendering, which will take advantage of both CPU and GPU. If you are, NVidia is the way to go)
PSU: Corsair TX650 Gold - 135
Casing: Corsair 275R Black - 115

Total: 2223

My suggestion is just a starting point, think got better shifus who can build something more optimised

I would have gotten from him myself, but he no stock for Tomahawk ytd.

Edit: In the end, went to SLS level 5 Videopro they helped me flashed latest bios on MSI Mortar B450M, I think it's worth.
