I have been dealing with this problem for over 4 days but I still cannot achieve the given answer. Any help would be appreciated!
Here is the problem:
A VHF radio link is set up between a shore station and an island in a lake 16km offshore. The antenna site on the island is 30m in height. Calculate the minimum height of the shore station if the minimum acceptable signal strength at either station is 10uv/m. The frequency is 150MHz and the transmitted power is 1W from a half-wave dipole from each station.
The given answer is 1.94m
Thank you so much.
