Hi,

i just assemble a new PC by my self. First timer.

But after i insert my windows CD it doesnt boot up the installation .

Ah can someone advice?

Mine is a Asus mobo. I realise during bios boot up. I press f8 it takes very long to go to the bios settings screen. Did i do anything wrong?

1. Check your boot drive priority in your BIOS. Make sure your optical drive is the first boot drive priority.

2. If it is already pointed as first boot drive, check your power and data connections to and from your optical drive.

Still don't understand your question about taking long to get into BIOS settings. How long is long?

ah nvm found out that my newly brought cd drive is spoil :(. But i use another drive to install win7.

Btw i damage one of the cable from the front panel USB to my mobo USB. Thus one of the USB 2.0 port is spoil. Can that wire be replaced?
