need recommendation for MB & CPU

Out of touch for mb & cpu ..... currently using a very old rig. I think is i5 1st gen. Asrock MB is H61M/u33s. More than 3 years liao.
Want to upgrade my MB + CPU cos' just got a new SSD 513gb.
Looking at latest i5 cpu but not sure which type.
My budget is around $450-$500.
Appreciate bro's help.

Its a 2nd gen Sandy Bridge platform which is not much slower than current era Haswell & Skylake. Rather you just upgrade graphics card with those cash you have.

Based on your MOBO should be 2nd Generation i5 therefore you should not need to upgrade.

Upgrade liao also cannot feel simi difference.
Waste of $$$ only.

Go download speccy, install it, run it and post your hardware.
