Hi guys,

Need some advice on my new pc. I did some research over internet and this is what i am going to build. My budget is ard 2k.

MSI Z87 GD45 gaming + i5-4670K - $542
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 1600MHZ 16GB (8GBx2) CL9 - $199
Plextor M5S 256GB - $259
MSI GTX 770 2GB Twin Frozr-$669
Seasonic M12II-650W, $129
Fractal Design Define R4-169

Prices is taken from PCT.

Is my PSU sufficient enough or is it waste to get 650Watt? if i going to try some simple overclocking, do i need to get CPU Cooler Fan?

650W will give you headroom if you want to be kiasu. 750W will be overkill.

Yes, if you want to do any overclock worth doing, you need a third party cooler.

What do you need 16GB of ram for?

Thanks everyone for your advice. Will be using back my old existing 1.5 TB hard disk for my new pc. As for the 16 GB ram, it is mean for trying out vmware.
