Dear all. Currently the specifications of my rig are as follows,

Processor: i5-750 @3.0 GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte P55A-UD3
Ram: 8GB
GFX: Sapphire Vapor X HD7950
PSU: Andyson F600 Modular
Storage: WD 1 TB black
Seagate Barracuda 7200 500 GB

Mostly this rig will be used for gaming, thus would like to do some upgrade for upcoming RPG games like DA Inquisition, Witcher 3 etc.

At the moment, I am only thinking upgrading the processor, mobo and ram. Budget will be around 1K.

Thanks in advance and happy weekend!

Your rig still good.

Theres no leap in performance if you change your mobo and cpu.

Things you can add in is a 250gb SSD.

Optional to Reformat your pc and you are as good as brand new.

Advisable to change your PSU to superflower hx600 600w 80+ gold semi modular

Exacly, SSD will make all the diference. Much more than if you upgrade your CPU.
Windows will feel soo much better!

Hi lukart and royfrosty. Thanks for the advice! Another reason why I had thought of upgrading my processor was to reduce the electricity consumption without compromising on performance. Thus was wondering if I should get i5 4690.

As for the SSD, I guess this will only be used for the OS as well as programmes/games given the small capacity? Any recommendations for SSD? I see that Crucial MX100 is quite cheap as compared to other brands.

Royforsty, any reason on why my PSU should be changed?
