New 5G mobile networks

I am more interested in seeing 5G being applied in low latency applications like driver-less cars etc.

A lot of places in the world still don't have decent 4G coverage. I don't think those places with poor 4G will have to the initiative to install even more antennas for millimeter waves.

5G can also replace broadband for some households

I honestly hope 5G data plans will provide significantly better and larger volume data for consumers to use compared to the measly <50GB we are getting.

Telco all publicly listed company and their motivation is profit. No way they will charge you less. At most they keep the price but increase data abit. you can hope that TPG eats up their market share so they will have to lower prices to keep their customers.

In India it cost about $30 for a whole year of unlimited data (547GB. Before throttle)
