A person who thinks a gt 750m is good is telling me that?
I question your intelligence.

Why don't you do some of the homework and see the alienware forums. I posted so much overclocking and benchmarks with it including a usd $2500 quadro k5000m card. 3d mark 11 can hit 7k easily with mild overclocking.

My gtx680m albeit old nearly 2 generations behind, is a competitve as gtx780m or 880m. I see no reason to upgrade yet coz it doesn't offer much performance gains. 3d mark 11 can hit 7k easily with mild overclocking.

The GT750m and GT765m maybe is about 10-20% performance different on paper, but when translate to gaming its not really a bad card. An overclocking or flash bios mods can maybe make it even faster than gtx765m but at the expense of more heat.

M17x have awesome cooling but m14x i not sure, no experience with that machine. Have to see the temps first then decide whether to tweak or not.

Instead of you being a noob, playing 1366 x 768 with gt755m coz you got god like eyes can feel lag when below 60 fps, using fraps to monitor gpu load and core speed, i really gotta hand it to you dude. I really feel sorry for your machine coz the user is not making use of it full potentials.

Wake up your ideas and start behaving like a normal human being.

You CANNOT tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps unless you are a god or cyborg. Your statement really makes me wonder how much you know about pc or gaming.

LOL

Hi guys, need some advise/ help here. I'm thinking of getting Msata SSD 250GB as main drive and the default HDD as storage drive.

Question:
1 - Can create a recovery disk as on currently machine status using the alienware software then load it into the new Msata SSD as main drive?

2. - Or can i install the Msata SSD first then load the original Dell alienware image from the default HDD into the Msata SSD as main drive?

3. can i maintain the Bios setting as raid instead of ahci?

4. Best if any bro/sis can share your experience on setting Msata as main drive.

Thanks in advance.

by 10-20% u mean 30-40? Your sources are doubtful as well.
Apparently i became god because of your comment. Now everyone who uses a 144hz monitor knows how retarded you are.

Yeah you cna use the recovery cd but its kinda weird. If you have msata and hdd together it wont work. I took out the hdd install windows on msata then put the hdd back then it works.

You can put do raid using a msata ssd and ssd too.

Any news on Alienware gaming laptop with NVIDIA 800 series graphic card yet?

I think should be coming soon. Most likely would be gtx860m.

I might considering changing the motherboard with gtx860m soldered in with the gt750m i currently having now. Most likely estimated prices for the motherboard and 800 series gpu soldered in would be around $800 plus i think.

Bro I feel you, this "Hailgod" guy is trying to be a hero in IT when himself doesn't have the raw specs to try them.

Can you imagine he told me he could build a Custom Gaming Rig with GTX780ti SLI with just a mere $3000 SGD, basically he claimed

- GTX 780ti SLI = $2000
- i5 Haswell Z87 Mobo = $500
- 1440p Korean monitor = $350

So those are the items he told me, add up already $2850, I can't imagine how he going to buy so many things with just $150.

A good gaming mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse can easily shoot over $200

Therefore, he's saying his "custom rig" don't need RAM, Chassis, Speakers, Cooling, Power supply LOL.

This Hailgod guy really amuses me for the past few days, he thought he's so good in IT when he know nuts or own nuts.

My team of custom PC Exhaustics ate laughing away at his comments hahaha

PS: But bro, I have to disagree with you at something, a 30fps jump to 60fps is a very big difference, you don't need God eye to notice it lol, I played Diablo 3 with my GT730M laptop 35 fps 1080p and then switch back to 1440p 90fps on my Desktop with GTX780SLI, the smooth rate is quite heaven and hell :)

Does that include GST bro? The price given to me is 395.90 SGD and that includes GST. Same part number:OMJ2P
I just upgraded my screen to Full HD IPS matte. LG display panel. Price USD94.99 including singpost shipment. Got it in 2 weeks. Pay USD25 more for FEDEX.

goto laptopscreen.com, under /English/model/Dell/ALIENWARE%2014/
Screen for Dell ALIENWARE 14. Replacement Laptop LCD Screens

It took me less than half an hour to change the panel. Just follow the video screen shown on the website. When you disconnect the panel connector, make sure you peel off the transparent tape, gently lift up the lever lock, and then pull it out gently.

BTW, it makes a big difference compared to the inferior TN HD screen.
